- The Funwares™ brand centers on light-hearted housewares, kitchen-kitch, and housewares. The Funwares brand design strategy and influences are inspired by understanding the eating and entertaining trends of Millennials and GenZ and combining function and humor to create products that make gift-giving fun.
- KidsFunwares™ are innovative, shaped plates that spark childrens’ imagination and are targeted to mothers. While not designed as “toys”, these items address parents’ concerns for getting children to sit at the table. KidsFunwares™ products are modular, interactive and spark imagination.
- Urban Trend™ gadgets add a unique twist to “ho-hum” kitchen tools. Our design philosophy is to create products that solve problems and provide clever solutions for kitchen gadgets so that you can cook great food. UT Brands currently has over 100 active product offerings and develops and launches approximately 40 new products each year, helping us to keep the competitive edge and new ideas demanded by retailers.
Robert Kushner’s first venture started when was a kid selling candy to his friends from a makeshift storefront in front of his house.
Design and manufacturing of gifts and kitchen gadgets is a second career for Rob. Rob sidetracked to law school and practiced law for a few years. Rob’s entrepreneurial drive finally pushed him to abandon those early careers and start his own business.
UT Brands took a long time to find its groove and get off the ground but, when it did, Rob wanted to design and create gifts and kitchen gadgets that were of such clever design and durability that his friends would want to buy when they saw them in the stores.
Fast forward many years and UT Brands has growing a line of gifts and kitchen gadgets that add a unique twist to unexciting products. Its design philosophy is to create products that solve problems and provide clever solutions and offer a “wow” factor. Providing clever solutions is not enough; ergonomics, simplicity and durability are at the forefront in the design process.
